I'm not putting an age label on this but ladies, the clothes you choose can affect how old you appear. Keep your look young and fresh with these tips in mind:
Wear good fitting and comfortable undergarments that give you hold but are not so tight as to create bulges. Body slimming shape-wear can really help. I also suggest wearing the prettiest possible undergarments for a glow-from-within good feeling.
Wear clothes that you like and make you happy, but dress age appropriate and use a full length mirror. Listen to your inner voice if you think something is a stretch.
Use magazines that feature older women as a guide (or soap tv actors and show hosts) if you are in doubt about trends or putting items together. These featured people are being dressed by expert stylists. Most of the time they look darn good.
Wear what makes you look good, no matter what the rest of the world is wearing. If you don't feel good in animal print, for example, don't wear it.
Toss items that are dated in cut and fabrication. Dated items date you. Vintage doesn't mean dowdy.
If in doubt, classic is always looks good. Think ladies Hepburn, Kennedy and Obama.
Wear/carry stylish accessories, handbags, shoes etc. Refresh your accessories seasonally. This is a good place to be a little au courant trendy. One thing at a time. Don't overdo it.
Keep your look fresh and clean, hair styled, nails done. You do not necessarily have to dye your hair although highlights can brighten a complexion immensely. Make up can lean on the cheerier side -- pinks as opposed to burgundy for lipstick.
Wear color or at least something fresh and fun like a great pin) that pops with personality and vibrancy.
Keep up with the latest fashions but don't be a slave to trends. Some things are really not meant for older women (i.e. leather leggings, high heeled cage booties)
